Disable Comments: Site-wide

To disable comments/discussions on WordPress pages, you can do it globally or per page.

Here are all the reliable ways

Option 1: Disable Comments Site-wide (Recommended)

1. Go to your WordPress Dashboard.
2. Navigate to Settings → Discussion.
3. Uncheck the box next to: “Allow people to submit comments on new posts.”
4. Scroll down and click Save Changes.

This only affects new pages and posts created from now on — not existing ones.

Option 2: Turn Off Comments on Existing Pages

1. In the Dashboard, go to Pages → All Pages.
2. Hover over a page and click Quick Edit.
3. Uncheck the box labeled “Allow Comments.”
4. Click Update.
   • Repeat for each page as needed.

Tip: If you have many pages:

• Go to Pages → All Pages.
• Check all the pages you want to update.
• In the Bulk Actions dropdown, choose Edit → Apply.
• Under “Comments,” select Do not allow → Update.
